This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

Game, Set and Match!

On Wednesday 12th July 2017 seven children from Year 4, 5 and 6 were lucky enough to come on a school trip to Wimbledon. We arrived at the Wimbledon grounds at about 12.30pm just in time for play to start on Court Number One. First up was Giles Muller vs Marin Cilic and it was a cracker. Lasting a full 3 hours and 30 minutes, Muller and Cilic battled away for the prize of a place in the Wimbledon semi-finals. In the words of Theo (Year 4) ‘It was an exquisite game of tennis.’

After Muller and Cilic finished their ‘exquisite’ match, we briefly were able to see Novak Djokovic play Thomas Berdych again for a place in the semi-finals. Both players started off well but unfortunately we had to leave before the end of the first set to ensure we got back to school on time.

Some more quotes about the day:

‘It was an amazing day and I really enjoyed watching the challenges.’ Chiagozie (Year 5)

‘It was Incredible to see how fast they were hitting the ball.’ Naima (Year 6)
